OOTD and Life Update

It’s show week! I can finally check choreographing a Disney musical off my list of list of life goals. The process has been 100% enjoyable. I can’t wait to do another show!

Charlie is still fantastic. He was 3 months old last week *tears* and is my absolute dream dog. He has really helped keep my mind on positive things and is always down to snuggle.

I’ve been approved to start a new infusion treatment for Crohn’s Disease and will hopefully begin taking those in a couple of weeks. I’ve been doing a fine job of pretending to feel great, so I’m excited to actually feel great soon!

Oh yeah, I cut my hair. Like myself. Well, here’s the story. I haven’t had a haircut since last February – like 2016 February. My hair was awful. Long, but awful. I kept meaning to call and make an appointment, but I have ZERO time to go to the salon, so as any brave girl would do, I cut it myself. I made a blunt cut and took about 4 inches off. I’m SO happy with how it turned out!!

Now on to the clothes.

I thrifted this Ralph Lauren button-up in this amazing light pink color. I can already tell I’m going to buy all the things in this color! I love it.

White Jeans are from Rugged Warehouse and I purchased them last year. They are my favorite white jeans because they are thick, cropped, and just a tad high wasted. Bomb.

The leopard clutch is from It’s Fashion Metro and has been on repeat for some time now. Sorry y’all, I just love it. It goes with everything.

My hat was purchased from the City Market in Charleston, SC. I’ve also worn this in several of my Spring posts from last year. I’m glad I can finally bring it back.

Thanks for reading!

January and February Favorites

Since Charlie (my puppy) came into my life in late January, my life has basically revolved around him – training, walking, bathing, cuddling, you name it. I have made a point to spend as much time with him as possible, to ensure he feels safe, loved, and doesn’t make a mess 🙂 Needless to say, shopping has become an online only event. On top of some sickness I’ve been dealing with (#overit) I’ve been aching to spend some time browsing through new products for Spring. I’ve put together some of my favorite products that I think will be perfect to pamper yourself and put you in a fabulous mood.

Coordinates Bracelet: Jane.com always has the most precious, personalized items. I had been searching for a piece of jewelry with Wrightsville Beach (my favorite place, zone, meditation location, heaven, aka home for 4 years of my life) coordinates for years. I didn’t want a giant necklace or anything bulky. I’m also NOT a bracelet person. My wrists are abnormally small so bracelets slide everywhere and get super annoying. This one however is perfect because it’s a cuff that is adjustable. It was hand-stamped so the numbers are a little crooked which makes my heart so happy. I paid $11.00 for it, shipping and tax included. I wear it 24/7 and anytime I need a pick-me-up I look at it and am reminded of my favorite place (that I’ll hopefully be living at soon!)

Wet n Wild Highlighters: 2016 was definitely the year of highlights. I’m pretty sure all I heard in 2016 was contour, highlight, brows, and matte. I’m sure this trend will continue for 2017, but the game is going to be stepped up big time. I found these Wet n Wild highlighters from Walgreens. The megaglow highlighter is a beautiful golden shade that is going to look BOMB this Summer. It’s in the shade Precious Petals 321 and was $4.99. I will say there is a tiny bit of glitter in the products, but I don’t mind. The next purchase was a cushion highlighter, which I wasn’t sure about how much I would like it. I decided the only way to have an opinion was to try it for myself. It’s the PERFECT shade for all my fair, pale girls out there. It looks PINK, I mean REAL pink in the package, but is amazing when applied. Both give you an amazing glow.

Snickers: Go ahead, judge me. I’m obsessed with these. Not even gonna lie, the day after Valentine’s I bought the rest of the stock. I love these because they are so much thinner than regular snickers. They are delicious!

St. Tropez: I purchased this in November, but have really started using it this year. It doesn’t have a harsh smell and only gives a slight “tan”. I will say as it fades it does turn orange, so after a couple of days, you’ll need to exfoliate really well. This is a great product to purchase if you need a little sun without using a tanning bed or exposing your skin to the harmful effects of the sun.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven: This book by Mitch Albom inspired me to take a deeper look at the relationships I have with people. The smallest actions we make can influnce a person’s whole life. I don’t want to give away too much of the story, but there is a sweet old man in it, and I read it in 3 days. SO GOOD.

This year is starting to become the best year ever. I’m excited for new opportunities, changes, and personal growth. Rather than these “things” being my favorites, these last two months have been my favorite. I hope it’s been the same for you!

Crazy For Stripes

Stripes are a great transition pattern into Spring.  They create the perfect base for fun and colorful accessories! This black and white striped top is one of my all time favorites! The vertical stripes are so flattering for any figure and it can easily be dressed up or down. I purchased it from It’s Fashion Metro and paired it with Forever 21 jeans that I distressed myself. My earrings were scored from H&M and are so beautiful and they make me so happy. They are a little oversized, but don’t let that scare you. They aren’t heavy at all, so go for it!

For those asking about Charlie, he is doing fantasic! He has learned to sit, fetch, and is doing great with potty training. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect puppy. His snuggles and and sweet playful nature have been the best addition to my life.
