If you live in the South it’s pretty likely that you’ve had or at least heard of sausage balls. For me, these round bundles of cheesey goodness are a holiday staple. For that reason I’m gonna share how to make these wonderful little snacks. I’m using a recipe from one of my Granny’s old cookbooks – so you know it’s gonna be good!
You’ll need three simple ingredients:
- 2 cups of Bisquick
- 1 pound of sausage
- 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Combine Bisquick, sausage, and cheese. Mix well. Roll into small balls and bake at 400℉ for 10-12 minutes until brown.
***P.S. For the sausage I am using Monk’s Homemade Sausage I purchased from Whaley’s IGA in Beulaville, NC. If you want REALLY good sausage – buy it from there!
Call me crazy, but I love mornings. I’m way more productive and energized at 8am than 8pm. I’m definitely not a night owl – My nickname in college was Grandma Stacie if that gives you any ideas of how much I can’t hang out late lol. Completely odd for a 23 year old I know. I use my mornings to organize my day and prepare for work in the evening. Some of my favorite morning activities include drinking coffee (duh), checking social media and e-mails, and catching up on The Crown aka my favorite Netflix show at the moment.
Being cozy in the morning is a must for me. I’ve been LIVING in these leggings I purchased from one of my good friends and co-workers, Ashley, who hosted a LulaRoe pop-up party. They are super soft and perfect for wearing to work (if you’re a dance teacher lol).
How adorable are these red fuzzy socks? One of my students gave them to me for Christmas and they are so soft and so cozy. Thank you Allison ❤
You’re probably wondering why I’m wearing a beanie, well my hair is a HOT MESS plus it’s super adorable. This was also a Christmas Gift from Old Navy and is perfect to wear during the Holiday’s.
Lastly, the real talk of the town – The Shirt. My cousin and I got these three years ago to wear to our family Christmas party and I’ve loved it ever since! Although Home Alone is NOT my favorite (shame on me I know) I love this shirt. It’s perfect to lounge in this time of year. Here is a similar one from Etsy!
Coffee is my BFF. When I rise in the morning, give me Jesus and give me coffee. I am a very simple gal. I have been known to use a TON of sugar and cream to flavor my coffee, but over the last few years, I’ve grown to love little to no flavoring. I like my coffee like my men (well, my man) strong, sweet, and hot. My favorite coffee ever is this Krispy Kreme light roast coffee. It’s for those mornings where I’m only slightly exhausted. For the extremely rough mornings I dig Cuban coffee. I only add about a half of a teaspoon and it’s good to go. I’ve been loving this French Vanilla creamer by Coffee Mate and they also make a great Pumpkin Spice flavor in the Fall!
What’s your go-to coffee in the morning?
What a fabulous month December has been so far?! Receiving this Ipsy bag has been the icing on the cake! If you don’t know much about Ipsy, or you’re wondering what the heck Ipsy is, it’s a monthly subscription bag with beauty essentials (some are even full size) ranging from hair products, make-up, make-up brushes, lotions, and skin care. The subscription is $10.00 a month which is billed monthly and you receive an adorable bag and five awesome products. It’s like Christmas every month!
For the month of December I received:
Cake Beauty’s Heavy Cream Intensive Hand Repair Balm – It’s made of natural and raw ingredients and smells delicious!
Tarte Cosmetic’s Deluxe Maracuja Oil – A moisturizer that leaves your skin hydrated without feeling greasy and has some amazing ingredients including Vitamin C.
Ciate London’s Liquid Velvet Matte Lipstick in Pin Up – I’ve received a few products from this brand in previous bags and LOVED them. However, I’m not a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks (I just don’t like the texture). This is a beautiful shade, I love the applicator, just not a cheerleader for the formula.
NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Shadow in Punk Heart – I love this brand and how affordable most products are. This color is perfect for my brown eyes and I cannot wait to try it!
Briogeo’s Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Quinoa Frizz Control Gel – I mentioned in a post earlier this week that my curly hair can be frizzy sometimes. For that reason, I am SO excited to try this product. I’ve heard great things about this brand and the ingredients are actually good for my hair! No sulfates, parabens, silicones etc.
If you want to try a month of Ipsy, look on the sidebar of my blog, or if you’re on your phone click here. Happy Thursday!
I love a good manicure, yet I don’t love spending $30.00 every time I want great quality nail polish. I while back I shared a nail kit I purchased from Target that included gel nail polish and a lamp. I am addicted to it. I don’t use anything else! I recently found this Sensationail polish on clearance at Target for right at $6.00. It’s the most beautiful baby pink color (Pink Chiffon). These products would make a great Christmas present for those DIY gals out there – and it helps that they are super affordable. I haven’t been to the nail salon since I purchased this! The polish really does last 2 weeks. It’s amazing. I definitely recommend it!
I was insanely excited when I found these boots on clearance at Belk. Lucky Brand is one of my favorite companies for clothing, shoes, and accessories. The original price is right at $139.00 and I purchased them for less than $50.00 – obviously I freaked out! What a great deal?! You can find them in four different colors: Lagoon, Dark Green, Toffee, and Storm Suede. I purchased the Toffee color. The leather is so soft and the color is PERFECT. I cannot wait to wear these out. I will say they run true to size and are a great fit. I know these will be a great Winter boot, but I also can’t wait to transition them into Spring and Summer with dresses and shorts. I’ll post an outfit wearing these bad boys later in the week, but for now happy Tuesday!
