I’ve been in a rut the last 6 months about realllly wanting to get eyelash extensions but not having the budget for a $100 splurge every few weeks. I searched far and wide for an alternative that would be easy and inexpensive – I hit the jackpot. At less than $10 I found a starter kit of individual cluster lashes.
You can find them at any drugstore of places like Walmart or Target. Most kits come with several individual lashes, glue, fine tipped tweezers, and adhesive remover. You can also purchase the individual lashes separately for lash refills.
I just apply them as close to my lash line as I can without getting them on my actual lashes (if you get them on your lashes and need to take them off, you’re gonna cry. It hurts lol) and please in the name of Jesus don’t put them under your lashes – I literally watched videos of girls who did and it was a nightmare. It only took about 45 minutes to apply the clusters. For me, these clusters lasted about 5 days and I only had to re-glue a couple every few days.
This might seem “extra” but I’m very self-conscious about my natural lashes, which are thin, short, and sparse. Wearing these extensions has rid my need for mascara and even eyeliner. It has cut the amount of time I spend on make-up in half.
So, if you’ve been searching for a cheaper alternative to eyelash extensions, give these cluster lashes a try. I’m OBSESSED.
Whether you’re in the market for a new eyeshadow palette for yourself or to give as a gift, you should definitely check out this Morphe 35O palette. It’s jam packed with beautiful matte and shimmer shades with intense pigment and buttery application. This is hands down one of my favorites.
The price is pretty awesome as well – at around $30.00 (including shipping whaaat) it’s such a bargain. I purchased this myself at the beginning of this year and it has been my trusty side kick ever since. My favorite colors are the super shimmery whites and the darker browns. Overall this is just so good.
You can also search for a discount code to use and save some cash- I don’t have one for ya, but they are all over the internet. This palette is also super difficult to get as it’s almost always out of stock. Be sure to keep an eye on Morphe’s website so you can get you hands on it! Here is a link to the palette itself (p.s. This post isn’t sponsored in any way!)
What’s your favorite makeup palette?
If you’ve been anywhere but under a rock, you’ve heard about blanket scarves – a woman’s way to fashionably be prepared for any moment of chill (lol). It can be a task to figure out how to style this chunky accessory, so I wanted to share a quick tutorial on a fast and stylish way to wear a blanket scarf.
First, you’ve gotta get your hands on one. I purchased mine from It’s Fashion Metro for like $7.00. They are pretty common in other stores like Target and TJMaxx. I prefer the ones that are completely square as opposed to the rectangular shape of regular scarves.
How to style:
- Fold the the fabric in half diagonally
- Cross two folded corners behind neck, keeping fabric fluffy
- Say “ta-da” because it’s really that simple!
What’s your favorite way to wear a blanket scarf? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments.
I have a problem. I’m not afraid to admit it. I love buying planners. I am OBSESSED with writing down what I’m going to do each day. I’m also super forgetful, so if I don’t write it down, don’t count on me remembering it.
Like any other trip to Target, I went in to buy ONE thing. I left with that item AND this planner, but I’m not mad about it. It’s perfect. Y’all, I can prioritize my weekly activities, set goals, and see an overview of each month. I’m a sucker for writing down goals.
I love that it’s sort of in a binder, so my purse won’t destroy it. It’s also stinkin’ cute – just look at it – it’s got polka dots. You can’t hate polka dots. Oh, it was only $14.99. What the heck???
Basically, if you’re looking to plan out your 2017, you need this in your life. I can’t wait to fill it up with plans! Happy Saturday y’all.
Sometimes all the pecan and pumpkin pie can be a tad bit monotonous around the holidays. Today I’ll share a SUPER quick dessert option that will be perfect for your family gatherings and holiday festivities!
THINGS YOU’LL NEED:
•Preheat oven to 200℉
•Place pretzels on baking pan lined with wax paper
•Place unwrapped Rolo on top of each pretzel
•Bake at 200℉ for 3 minutes or until Rolos are slightly melted
•Remove from oven and quickly add a pretzel on top of each melted Rolo
•Allow to cool and enjoy
Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
I also bought this black fur vest from Roses for less than $15.00 – such a steal. I love it for the zipper and the pockets. Plus it’s way softer than other vests I’ve purchased it the past. The warm factor is real. I paired it with a top I purchased from Forever 21 that was also super affordable.
Here’s a secret of mine, I’m kind of obsessed with buying inexpensive clothes. That includes thrifting. I purchased this white sweater from Goodwill – no shame. The quality is awesome and there was literally nothing wrong with it. I love the chunky turtleneck and cable knit. You would be surprised at the amazing deals you’ll find at these stores!
What’s your favorite thrifting purchase? I’d love to know!
