Plaid OOTD

I’ve already stocked up on Fall candles from Bath & Body Works, made a post on a Fall outfit, so in my mind, it’s Fall. I know, I know, I’m loving these last few weeks of Summer and I definitely plan on making the most of the warm weather, but I thought I’d share a way to style your favorite plaid shirt if you’re in the mood for Fall like me.

I probably have an obsession with Roses, but when you’re on an extreme budget, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do to look cute.  I purchased this top from there for less than $10.00, so  it’s very inexpensive.  The material is super soft and breathable.  It came in SO MANY different patterns and colors, I’ll share those with you soon! Toss on your favorite statement necklace, mine came from It’s Fashion Metro, and the basis of your outfit is complete.

I shared the rest of this outfit in my last post, which you can find here : UTILITY VEST AND TUNIC

Utility Vest and Tunic

Now that we’re almost done with August (What? Why? HOW?), I think it’s definitely appropriate to give you some Fall outfit inspiration. I know I talked about one of my favorite trends (Lace-Up Tops) in my previous post, but nothing says Fall like layering.

Here in North Carolina, it can go from 85 and sunny to 32 and snowing real quick. Real, real quick. So for me, layering has always been the best way to go when choosing an outfit for the Fall. If it’s cold I’m covered and if it’s warm, I can remove layers. You can get the best of both worlds!
I started with a black and white striped oversized t-shirt that fits like a tunic. I’ve mentioned in a previous post that I love wearing oversized shirts, so check out that post here!  Tops like this go great with jeggings and leggings because they are long enough to cover all of God’s blessings. I purchased the tunic from the discount store Roses. I also tossed on this beautiful army green utility vest for some added flare. I purchased it from TJMaxx several years ago, but you can find a similar one here.  My pants were purchased at Rugged Warehouse a while ago but a similar pair can be found here!  I purchased the ankle boots (here) from Forever 21 and they come in 3 different colors. After you have the basics, just add your favorite accessories and go buy a PSL from Starbees (Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks lol) and you are all set for some Fall adventures.

Thanks for reading and be sure to let me know what Fall traditions you’re excited about in the comments below. I can’t wait for pumpkin carving and watching “Hocus Pocus” 1 million times!

Fall Fashion Favorites

The Summer off-the-shoulder and tassel trend is still hanging around, but Fall is around the corner whether we like it or not. One of my favorite trends I’m noticing is lace-up tops and dresses. Similar tops can be found here and here. However, I purchased mine from a local discount store for less than $10.00. Let me know what your favorite trend for the Fall is!
