After a busy week of dance recitals, I’m looking forward to spending some time by the pool and at the beach and doing some serious relaxing. I just know having these items by your side will make Summer way cooler! Enjoy!
are from the line Oscar by Oscar de la Renta. They are the perfect sunnies to wear with any swimsuit and are also perfect for wearing around town.
This pineapple cup
is the definition of cute! I can’t wait to wear my floppy hat and fill this up with sweet tea and chill out. I found this at the Dollar Tree, but I linked a similar one from Party City above.
, Making The Case,
has been my best friend for quite some time. Kimberly Guilfoyle is a genius when it comes to convincing everyone she is the bomb. This book has taught me ways to make my strengths seem valuable to others, while giving me pep talks for my future endeavors. I feel like I can do anything after I read a few pages. I highly recommend it!
After a quick Bath and Body Works run, I came across this after sun spray lotion
and this beach glow gel lotion
. The scent is Honolulu Sun and has key notes of coconut, Pacific Palm, Ocean Air Accord, Citrus, and White Sand Musk. It is so Summery and so heavenly! One gives you great hydration after a day in the sun, while the other gives a slight bronzed glow…the perfect combo.
This animal print swim top
from Target gives the best compliment to sun kissed skin. I love the playful print and being able to pair it with any color swim bottoms like these neon swim bottoms
Lastly, throw in your favorite hat (mine is obviously my Wrightsville Beach hat from several years ago) and you’re completely ready for some fun in the sun! Remember to apply sunscreen, stay hydrated, and have SO MUCH FUN!!
First off, I’ve missed writing! I know it’s only been a few days, but I feel so out of touch with my blog! To start off, I’m loving products that save me money…in the long run. A couple of these products were a little pricey, but I believe that you reap what you sow when it comes to beauty products. Let’s get started!
First stop is this Clarisonic look-a-like. I purchased this for $5.00 at Roses in Mt. Olive not expecting much. I’ve never heard of the brand, Elite Essentials, but I decided to give it a try anyway. It was so worth it. I use it every night and have noticed the biggest difference in the texture of my skin. I used a moisturizing face wash and use this on the “high” setting and my face feels so soft after! It’s the perfect companion.
Next is this gel nail polish by Sensationail
polishes. I bought this as a gel set and the polish has stayed on for 2 weeks. The set came with a nail cleaner, cuticle pushers (sorry, I don’t know the correct word), gel base and top coat, gel primer, this polish, a nail file, lint-free nail cleaners, and a curing light! It was under $30.00. Sounds like a lot for nail polish, but it beats paying $30.00 or more every visit to the nail salon! You can also purchase more color options, as well.
I’ve heard so many make-up artists rave about the Loreal Lumi
foundations. I can understand why. This foundation/sunscreen combo offers buildable coverage with a dewy finish. I purchased mine to wear with self-tanner and I’m in the warm shade W5 Sand Beige. It’s very affordable and perfect to wear this Summer.
Bumble and Bumble is my go-to brand for hair products. I’ve been using their gentle shampoo and super-rich conditioner for the last few months and can tell a HUGE difference in my hair. It feels cleaner, it’s grown faster, it’s easier to style, and is less frizzy. When I found this styling lotion
at Target for less than $15.00 I had to try it out. I put a little bit in my hair before I style it and it gives my hair more volume. I highly recommend it!
I’ve been so blown away by the traffic to these posts! Let me know what you’re interested in seeing next. Have a great week.
Happy Wednesday everyone. Today on Heart and Soul, I have another piece from the Angie Clothing Company and an incredible deal on designer sunglasses. Both of these items were less than $30.00 COMBINED…yes please!!
This dress is from Angie Clothing Company and is the perfect everyday dress for the Summer. The sleeves flare and it has an adorable tassel around the neck. The colors may seem a bit more suited for Autumn, but I am loving burnt orange so far this year. The colors make it easy to wear any shoe color and pair any accessories. I found it at TJMaxx for under $20.00. A similar romper by Angie from Nordstrom can be found here
These sunglasses were an absolute incredible find. The designer is, get this, OSCAR DE LA RENTA! Yes I’m screaming! I also purchased these from TJMaxx for less than $10.00. I’m a sucker for a good deal and sunglasses. They are brown tortoise with gold hardware. I love the fit and the gold accents. A similar pair of sunglasses by Lucky Brand can be found here
May the deals be ever in your favor!
It’s HOT in North Carolina right now, so I’m definitely trying to stay cool when picking out my outfits. Personally, I always feel better the more covered I am (weird I know) but there is just something about having a flowy top or dress on that makes me feel cool and comfortable in warm weather. Today’s outfits both came from TJMaxx
and were inspired by some one my favorite bloggers and clothing stores…Alex Garza and Free People. I love how both frequently use bohemian fashion when styling outfits and use flowy fabrics with lots of floral prints.
This mint dress is a dream to wear and it’s by the brand Norah. It’s perfect to wear casually or make more dressy. I love the teal color and feel like I can wear literally any color jewelry, shoes, or accessories with it. It’s very flattering, especially with that tied waist. I feel like it would be great to wear after a day at the beach. Again, it’s from TJMaxx!
I feel like this top could be close cousins with Free People
clothing items. It’s a design from Angie
clothing company, and I am in LOVE with their look book. I’ll definitely be looking for more pieces from this brand. It could easily be one of my favorite companies. They do have several designs at Nordstrom Rack
. I am obsessed with the floral print with a pop of wine. I can’t wait to wear it out to dinner with jeans or around town with shorts. I totally recommend this top for the summer. This top is also from TJMaxx!

Off-the-shoulder tops have been a staple for many fashion lovers this Spring and it’s been a trend I have fallen in love with too! I adore how flirty it makes an outfit look and this particular top adds the brightest pop of pink. I paired it with turquoise and gold hoops, gold link bracelets, blue mirrored aviators, and lucky brand jeans. Keep reading for more info!
I purchased this top on clearance at Francesca’s
at the end of the Summer last year. It’s breathable, it flows, and the color is amazing. Since so many stores are carrying off-the-shoulder fashions, I’ll link a couple options here
I’ve linked the bracelets, earrings, and sunglasses in previous posts, but, the bracelets
are from JCrew Factory Store and the earrings and aviators are from It’s Fashion Metro
! I love that I can pair them with so many outfits.
Finally, these lucky brand jeans. Whew. It was a sad day when the Rugged Warehouse
in Goldsboro closed down because that’s exactly where I found these designer jeans for $7.00. Thank goodness there is still a store in Wilmington that I can visit all the time!
I hope these posts inspires you to stay on the look-out for bargains and give you ideas for your own personal outfits! Thanks for reading!
Today on Shopping for Gold, I’m going all in on one of my most favorite dupe purchases of all time. This look can transfer from work to “werk” real quick, so get ready! Lots of neutrals, color blocking, and bold statement pieces are used!
First up, the one, the only, Celine bag dupe. After letting this purse slip through my fingers once ( talked myself out of it because I had just bought a designer bag) I promised myself if I ever came across another one I’d buy it immediately. You may ask why I’m being over dramatic about a “fake” bag, well, the retail price for an authentic Celine bag can be over $2,000. I paid $17.00 for this look-a-like at, guess where, ROSES. Yes, Roses. Roses for the win.
This white top is by the brand Lush. I found it at TJMaxx couple months ago, but they have the same top online at Nordstrom
in a ton of colors. It’s comfy and can be worn with so many things and can make any look seem effortless!
My jeans are by J Brand and can retail anywhere from $150-$250 a pair. I purchased mine from Rugged Warehouse last winter for under $30.00. A lot of people don’t give that store enough credit. It’s easy to find a treasure if you search hard enough!
I’ll leave you with a quote by Rachel Zoe – “I appreciate individual style and that has little to do with and who can collect the most expensive designer bags or ankle books. In fashion, anyone can put together an amazing look – even on a dime. And I love that sense of democracy. All you need is individual style.” (Living in Style by Rachel Zoe)
Feliz Cinco de Mayo! I’m still swooning over the gorgeous colors and patterns that this day inspires. Here are a few of my favorite outfit staples that include two adorable tops and turquoise earrings! Enjoy!
Off-the-shoulder tops have been making their mark on the fashion world this Spring. I found this unique top from TJMaxx
for under $20.00. I love the pink, red, and black color combo and this it is perfect for Cinco de Mayo festivities!
This white and navy embroidered top immediately caught my attention in Marshall’s
. I had been searching everywhere for a simple, embroidered top and was expecting to pay a hefty price for one. My expectations were blown away when I found this top for less than $20.00. It’s comfy, light-weight, and the long tunic design makes it acceptable to wear with leggings!
Both of these beauties are from It’s Fashion Metro
and were both less than $10.00! I love that I can wear these as bold statement pieces to add flare to any outfit.
Thanks for reading! xoxo, Stacie
