Merry Christmas! I have FINALLY had a little time to shoot pictures with my sweet Charlie. This will be my very first Christmas with him and I am so over the moon. I love him like my child, which is why this year is so, so special to me. God sent Jesus to Mary and Joseph knowing He be crucified to save the sin-filled world. I couldn’t imagine giving up my Charlie. God’s love looked death in the face and defeated it – all for us. I have never felt so empowered and undeserving! Although I am looking forward to the typical traditions of the holidays, this year, my heart has been completely focused on worshipping my Savior. I’m wearing the most cozy sweater from Old Navy and y’all, I’ve worn this thing almost every day for the last week. I’m obsessed with the color, mock neck and crocheted detail of the bottom hem and sleeves. It’s super cozy and comes in several colors. My jeans are actually jeggings, because who actually wants to button their pants? Not me. They are also from Old Navy and come in several different washes and styles. You can shop my outfit below. Have a great day!
Archives for December 2017
Choosing the best gift for someone you really care about is beyond stressful! I love making gifts as personal as possible. I wanted to share some gift ideas for the woman in your life that needs some cozy goods.
This pajama set is so adorable. I love the dainty top paired with the cozy plaid shorts. This is the perfect set for drinking hot chocolate and reading a book.
Keeping your skin hydrated will without a doubt keep you relaxed and comfy. This lotion is one of my favorites. It’s light and definitely not greasy. It also makes a great stocking stuffer!
This hat is perfect for those cold mornings when you need some extra warmth. I have a huge crush on the little fur detail – it adds the sweetest flare.
These gloves are the perfect gift for the girl who is just like me – I ALWAYS have cold hands. But, you know what they say, “cold hands, warm heart.”
I’m kinda in love with plaid this season. These grey plaid pj’s are cozy and warm and would be adorable to wear Christmas morning!
Every girl needs a robe. I basically live in a cozy robe during the winter. This ivory robe from Barefoot Dreams is pretty much an actual dream. So cozy – this brand normally sells out so quickly!
This throw blanket is the perfect addition to your Christmas decor and can definitely be transitioned to other seasons. The tassels make this so unique and a great throw for any time of year.
Would it be a favorite of mine if it didn’t have sparkles? Probably not. These bedroom shoes are so cute and they are COVERED in glitter. These would be great for your favorite girly-girl.
This gold candle from Capri Blue is a dream. It smells just as pretty as it looks. This is one of those gifts that definitely keeps on giving!
This volcano candle from Capri Blue is one of my ALL TIME favorite candles ever. The scent is magical and is clean, fresh, and fills any space for quite a while. I’m getting a few of these for my friends for Christmas – hopefully they will act surprised!
This pullover has been the hottest commodity this season. This one comes in a few colors and is SO COZY. I even think it would be adorable with a monogram.
Sweater: H&M | Jeans: JcPenney | Shoes: Old Navy
I’m sure by this point y’all are really like, “does this girl like anything besides pink” The answer is barely. I adore pink, which you know by now. I’m especially drawn to sweaters that are warm, so you can imagine my justifications for purchasing this chunky knit v-neck sweater from H&M. I pretty much HAD to have it. If you need it in your life too, you can shop a similar sweater here and here. My jeans are my recent favorite from JcPenney. At less than $15, there is really no reason to try these babes out. I cut the hem off to create a raw hem and it instantly made these jeans my favorites. I love them so much, I actually went back and bought another pair to wear when I have one in the wash. The booties I’m wearing are from Old Navy and are comfy and classic. They are the perfect suede booties for the holidays because they can easily be dressed up or down. Plus, they are fairly inexpensive and are mega cute. As always, you can shop the looks in the widget below. Have a great week, friends!
Have you ever heard the phrase “cold hands warm heart”? I think I’m going to start a new one that goes “cold shoulders warm heart” because y’all, this top definitely warms my heart. It is a combination of two perfectly dainty and girlie trends: peasant tops and cold shoulders. The flounced material is so lovely and adds the perfect flare to your everyday outfit. It makes a great addition to your winter wardrobe because of its versatility (you could easily pair this with jeans or a pencil skirt) and I mean, this color has me swooning. It’s perfect for Christmas and since our wallets are usually crying this time of year, you’ll love it even more because it doesn’t break the bank. To shop this top, or similar items, use the widget below. I’ve been blessed with a few incredible opportunites for The Heart and Soul Blog and I cannot wait to share them with you so if you’d like to stay up-to-date with the happenings around here, please don’t forget to subscribe. Since we are finally in December, I thought it would only be fitting if I shared a feminine, holiday outfit that is trendy and casual – it’s also completely affordable! I found this top at TJMaxx and it was under $20 (similar top here, here, and here). The color is stunning and such a classic Christmas green. I love that it is off-the-shoulder, cause y’all know North Carolina doesn’t get chilly until February so it’s super breathable. The chenille material is definitely a trend for the holidays, so I’ve linked several other great sweaters below. I purchased these jeans from Nordstrom after trying them on and falling in l-o-v-e. The fit is fantastic. I normally struggle finding jeans that will fit my waist AND thighs but the slightest stretch in these jeans make them fit amazing! The price isn’t bad at all either. Y’all already know I love these booties. They go with so much and one of the main reasons I love them is for the “clicking” sound they make when I walk. I know that’s a pitiful reason to love a shoe, but I think it makes them sound sophisticated haha. As many of my readers know, my mother has been battling breast cancer. She had surgery last week and is recovering so well from it! She still needs help doing small tasks, but she is in very little pain which is a huge blessing. Your continued prayers are definitely appreciated! Have a fantastic week, friends!
